June 18/19th Women's Weekend for Scottish Basketball
A visit from European side Austria gives the Scotland
Senior Women side an exciting chance to showcase their talents for
the first time since 2008 (Luxembourg) and pit their wits against solid
European opposition in their preparation for their 2010
European Campaign in Armenia later this year.
These are the first senior international matches played on home soil
for Scotland's Women since 2006 when we hosted a strong Norwegian side
before heading to Malta for the European Promotion Cup where we finished
a creditable 2nd and it will be good to see how the side
shapes up against a strong Austria team before heading off to Yerevan at
the end of June.
The highly anticipated first tip-off is 7:30pm on the evening of Friday
the 18th and is followed with the 2nd encounter on Saturday
19th June at 5pm.
All matches will be held at Linlithgow Academy and we hope you will
be there to show your support and catch some great basketball. Tickets
are only £3 per day. Entrance fee at the door.
