basketballscotland is delighted to announce the launch of the UKCC Level 2 Bridging Course. The bridging course is aimed at coaches who qualified previously as Level 2 coaches through basketballscotland before the introduction of the UKCC programme and are now looking to qualify as UKCC Level 2 coaches.
In recognition of coaches previous Level 2 Basketball Coaching Award and competence, the UKCC Source Group have ‘mapped’ the new UKCC qualification against the previous basketballscotland Level 2 Coach Award. The bridging course will cover content that was not previously covered in the basketballscotland award.
The UKCC Level 2 bridging course will be run over three 3 hour evening sessions.
The assessment criteria of the bridging course is the same as that of the full 5 day course.
Candidates must be 18 and have the following qualifications to be eligible to attend the bridging course:
· basketballscotland/England Basketball Level 2 Course Certificate
· A recognised Child Protection training certificate within the past 3 years
· A recognised Emergency First Aid course (the certificate must be up to
date.
The details of the first course as as follows:
Dates: 8th Sept, 15th Sept and 3rd Nov
Venue: TBC (will take place in Glasgow)
Time: 6pm until 9pm each day
Cost: £100. Scholarships are available to reduce the cost of the course to £50. Normal scholarship conditions apply.
Another course will be arranged in the East shortly.
